The 10 questions of the AI Readiness Assessment

Dimension 1 — Strategy

How did AI come onto your organisation's agenda?

Because competitors are doing it and we don't want to fall behind · Because the board or shareholders are asking for it · Because we want to solve a specific internal problem · Because it aligns with an existing, concrete growth ambition

How clear is your AI strategy at this moment?

We have no strategy — we're experimenting · We follow what the market does and adapt · We have guidelines, but no unified goal · AI is deliberately embedded in our multi-year strategy

Dimension 2 — Data

How would you describe the state of your data?

Fragmented, unmanaged and difficult to access · Available but not unlocked or structured · Structured but only occasionally utilised · Consciously managed and strategically deployed

Who has visibility on what data is available and what is possible with it?

Nobody really has an overview · Only IT knows what's there · Management has a rough picture · There is clear ownership with an active policy

Dimension 3 — People

How does your team experience AI in general?

As a threat — they fear for their position · As something being imposed without a clear purpose · As an interesting development, but not a personal priority · As an enhancement of their work — they embrace it

How are you preparing your people to work with AI?

We are not actively doing that yet · There have been occasional, one-off training sessions · We are working on a plan but not implementing it structurally · There is a structured development programme with measurable progress

Dimension 4 — Processes

How do you decide which processes to tackle with AI?

Unclear — we don't know where to start · Based on what others in the market are doing · On processes we know well and want to improve · On processes with a clear problem and a predetermined result

How do you measure the effect of AI on your business processes?

We don't — we have no measurement method · We ask if people are satisfied, nothing more · We monitor usage, but don't yet measure impact · With predetermined KPIs and a regular evaluation cycle

Dimension 5 — Culture

How does your leadership position itself towards AI?

Passive or sceptical — no active involvement · Enthusiastic, but without direction or ownership · Supportive, but not actively participating · Actively engaged — leading by example and with mandate

How would you describe the AI culture in your organisation today?

Resistance or uncertainty dominates · Curiosity, but that rarely leads to action · A drive to experiment with occasional successes · Shared ownership, structural learning and continuous improvement
